I'm amazed at how well the potty training thing is going!  They are all now tottering over to the paper to pee! We had a howling duo this morning...sooo cute...sounded like mini sirens.  Tug got Keel started so I am sure that they are hearing now.  They are interacting more too, Barge put his sister's face in his mouth today...and they play bat at each other.  Last night Keel gave me a start, she was in the corner of the box standing on a bump of sheet with both front legs up to the armpit on the edge of the box pulling herself up with all of her might!  They are going to be out of there in no time.  Kiefer and Sophie are spending more time together; they played a bit today, Sophie initiated and Kiefer was ecstatic!

Lots of firsts in the last few days.  Every pup has eyes open and it looks as tho' two of them are actually seeing things. Hearing may be close behind, one of them lifted his head this morning when I dropped a pan as if to say "Hey, we're sleepin' here!"  All are actually walking now...a bit wobbly.. but can travel a foot or so. Vocalizations are diversifying even more, someone was puppy barking this morning too.  My bog gurus are telling me to post more pics so here goes....

I probably won't be so excited about this in another week, but all pups are having independent pees and poohs now!!!!  As of day's end, both Barge and Tug have both eyes open and the two of them had a few moments of play with each other this afternoon.  The girls are not far behind, I can see little glints in the corners of their eyes. Sophie spending more time outside of the box and enjoying some backyard time as of the last two days.

Day 14 - Two weeks old today!  I have the feeling that development is about take off in a big way.  The boys are both "walking"; supporting weight on all fours for a few wobbly steps and yesterday Barge had one little eye partially open.  They all experienced their first new surfaces today (kitchen rug and lineoleum floor) while the box was being changed .

Puppies are starting to distinguish themselves, faces more individual looking, each puppy seems to have his/her own signature vocalization. Two of them are starting to push up on their front legs. Not quite walking yet, but they are getting stronger day by day. Sophie continues to be an awesome Mom.

So many changes in the last few days!  They all have so much fur now and we can make out tiny whiskers. Good weight gain and Tug has caught up with his sister!  First nail trim too.

It's really hard to get anything done but watch puppies!  They are quieter today, more content. Sophie ready to leave the box and the pen more, but isn't too interested in Kiefer's play invitations yet.
